Where do you buy your Cds?

We're talking music here so I feel justified in quoting Bob Dylan and saying “The times they are a-changin'”. Where did you buy your last Cd? Chances are increasing that it wasn't in a traditional music outlet. Perhaps it was an online store or maybe a Gift Shop or what about an Museum or Garden Centre?

I recall our early days in 1991 when we moved the company from Ireland to England and began to sell to non traditional music stores – in other words any shop that is not a music store. We had some very bemused customers asking us what we thought we were doing and shouldn't we be talking to the Virgin Records buyer?

However those adventurous first customers who decided to try our music were well rewarded (as were we of course) with exceptional sales and thanks to the invention of our Interactive displays (more about this in a future blog) many customers told us that we were the best selling supplier per square foot in their store.

Of course that's all history now apart from retaining our position as one of the highest turnover products in gift stores. Since then the diversity of our customer base has continued to broaden encompassing locations literally from A-Z (Aquariums to Zoos in case you were wondering). We even have a display stand in Trinity College library in Dublin within shouting distance (not advisable though) of the famous Book of Kells.
